Llanes. El Mirador de Ovio is very well located for the practice of adventure sports as well as for fans of salmon fishing, the closest place, 30′ car, is the Sella River which is one of the most important salmon rivers in Spain. Born in the Picos de Europa in the town and municipality of Oseja de Sajambre (province of León) and flows into the Cantabrian Sea forming the Ribadesella estuary.
Asturias, has very untouched continental waters, which makes them live the most appreciated salmonids, giving the channel of their rivers, shelter salmon in the southernmost area of Europe, trout, eels, which are harassed by predators like, the otter, the cormorant, egrets, etc.
In addition to salmon in the river Sella the first Saturday of August after day 2 is celebrated, since 1930, the International Descent of the Sella between the bridges of Arriondas (Parres) and Ribadesella, international canoeist test of great prestige, which accompanies a great party during the whole weekend. During the rest of the year, anyone can rent a canoe and descend the river in a route of about 15 km.
